Rwanda will be hosting the next Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), to be held in 2020. The choice of Rwanda to host CHOGM 2020 is a remarkable opportunity for Rwanda and indeed Africa. Rwanda is the second African country to host the meeting after Uganda hosted it in 2007.

CRBI is a private sector project initiated by PAMP to generate interest and buzz around CHOGM2020. It brings together a select team of private sector professionals and corporate entrepreneurs across Africa with extensive networks and experience in private public partnerships and business initiatives across varied sectors within and outside the Commonwealth. We followed with keen interest, played a cheerful role and celebrated Rwanda’s accession of Commonwealth membership 2009. We love the Commonwealth Network and the values it espouses. We are CHOGM enthusiasts! We cut across most Commonwealth Member States and we share the excitement that the newest member, Rwanda, is hosting CHOGM only 10 years after it was admitted to the bloc. We want to contribute towards ensuring that this excitement as well as the benefits spread far and wide within Rwanda, regionally and globally.

Towards ensuring a successful CHOGM2020, PAMP through CRBI is involved in the business sector coordination & engagement in Rwanda and across Africa as well as awareness creation & media engagement on CHOGM2020. As part of the CRBI focus on the promotion of intra-Africa trade & market opportunities, PAMP is organizing a Business Expo during CHOGM2020.
