Rwanda and other African countries still have a disproportional small share of the world’s trade in indigenous products. Improvement of this situation is dependent on access to markets and the countries’ ability to exploit the export potential. There is growing market for African exports especially in Europe for home products which provides opportunities for African manufacturers both in niche markets focused on ethnic products like handicrafts and in more traditional standard products.
PAMP is dedicated to not only finding market for value-added and semi-processed products from Africa, but also providing the necessary trade liaisons, footprint and value for African products in the identified markets. PAMP is focused on being a key vehicle for promoting Africa products in other global markets.
We believe that there is huge market for authentic African products, particularly handicrafts with rich display of geometric patterns and simple designs which complement abstract and modern decors.
